About the Author:
Andrew Sheldon was born in Sydney, Australia. After attending St Ives Central and Knox Grammar School, he graduated from Macquarie University with a BSc in geology and geophysics in 1991, and minors in accounting, economics and finance, before gaining a UNSW Graduate Diploma in Mining Engineering & Mineral Processing. Between 1993-98 he worked as an energy analyst with international energy consultants Barlow Jonker, specialising in Asian coal and power markets. Clients included Shell Coal International, Mitsubishi Oil, Rio Tinto and many others. From 1998-2003 he worked in Japan, in events management and as a mining equities analyst, before becoming a professional trader & investor in mining stocks and property. Andrew is a consummate researcher, analyser and writer though over the years he has limited his publishing to industry energy reports, blogs and ‘letters to the editor’. He is a seasoned trader and strategic investor in real property, stocks and foreign exchange.
